Getting rid of facial hair without shaving, by using tweezers

I have been searching up and down, left and right and cannot find my tweezers. It has been two days now. Now, maybe I know what an addiction feels like, or almost. They are my best must-have beauty accessory.

Use Tweezers, don't use a shaving stick

As ladies, some of Us can be quite hairy. And, oh no, this may manifest even on those parts that are exposed to the world for viewing, like let's say, the face, mustache area/ upper lip, lower lip, chin and most probably our eyebrows.
Now tweezers, they come in different shapes. But one thing is for sure, they get rid of that unwanted mustache, chin hair, and excess eyebrow hair. However, the slanted tweezers seem to be the best.

Upsides of tweezing

  • No need for appointments/ Can be done by self, unlike waxing
  • Cheap unlike waxing,  and effective
  • No coarse hair regrowth, unlike shaving
  • The hair takes time to regrow with continuous use, just like waxing

Downsides

  • Brace yourself, it is painful and may sting, no lie

  • Not for bushy hair, in this case, go for waxing

How to use them on the upper, lower lip and chin

  1. First, cleanse your skin in order to avoid bacteria or any unwanted stuff breaching the skin during the process. Or you can do it after a bath. Wipe your face with a clean cloth.
  2. Use a clean pair of tweezers. Usually, the slanted tweezers are the best
  3. Have a mirror at hand or stand in front of one, the more illuminated the room the better. Personally, I use a torchlight from my phone. So, if you want to use the torch, shine it in the mirror and not on your face, this way you will easily see the tiny hairs.
  4. Use the thumb, index and middle fingers to hold the tweezers in a slanted manner, like one would chopsticks.
  5. Grab each hair at the base and pull out in the direction of growth. With time and practice, the process becomes faster.
  6. Use a clean piece of cloth to lightly wipe the tweezed area to see if there is any left over, and remove them. Take some breaks to breathe.
  7. When done, allow the skin to calm down before continuing with your beauty routine.
  8. For step-by-step pictures and guide for use on the eyebrows, I will leave you with this link.

Where to purchase the tweezers

  • Beauty stores

  • General stores, in the beauty section

I agree tweezers can be a bit painful. But, It's definitely useful if you haven't got time to go for a professional wax.
