Generally, 'breakouts' is a term that is used for pimples, acne, blackheads, and whiteheads. Acne is more genetically inclined (One type is seen in puberty). Pimples are what we get every once in a while, it can occur in any skin type but people with oily skin suffer it most. They are both caused by clogged pores.
Sometimes you wonder why your breakouts keep coming back or even lead to scarring. They persist even when you cleanse and exfoliate the skin all the time. In some peoples' terms, 'I have tried everything to no avail'.
There are one/many simple things you may not have done.
Perhaps, you have not stopped:
This will further worsen it by leading to scar formation. These scars may become permanent.
The hands are used for everything. Therefore, they easily propagate bacteria (acne-causing bacteria) and other kinds of germs.
Apart from causing sebum (oil) to build up in your skin (clogged pores), your pillows and bedsheets will be smudged and this can lead to a vicious cycle of breakouts.
Keep in my mind that, as these are habits, it takes some time to stop them completely. This is because you subconsciously do them. But with determination, you will definitely notice positive changes.
In addition to this, using the right skincare products for your skin type (in this case, those formulated for oily or acne-prone skin) will ensure you become drastically less-prone to breakouts.

No wonder my forehead is now a breeding ground for pimples....my new hair cream somehow always finds its way there.
ReplyDeleteAhaaaa..and I can imagine that the humid weather is not allowing the hair cream to stay put..
ReplyDeleteUseful tips! I didn't realise the one about sweat, will be sure to wash my face straight after a workout going forward
ReplyDeleteIt goes a long way :)..thank you for stopping by Lou
ReplyDeleteGreat tips here!! I find that the sweat tip is great for post-workouts - for your body as well. I find my shoulders can breakout if I don't wipe with a washcloth or makeup wipe right after. I nominated you for the Liebster Award also!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure does help..
